computermiete.de awarded contract by the State of Baden-Württemberg to conduct electronic examinations for the Second State Examination in Law
Within the scope of the Europe-wide tender procedure for the implementation of an electronic examination for the Second State Examination in Law in Baden-Württemberg, computermiete.de GmbH & Co. KG from Karlsruhe has been awarded the contract for the provision of the required IT hardware as well as the installation of the technical infrastructure at the respective examination locations. The contract for the provision of the examination software was awarded to UNIwise ApS from Aarhus in Denmark.
Every year, around 1,200 trainee lawyers in Baden-Württemberg take the Second State Examination in Law, which consists of a total of eight five-hour exams in the areas of civil, public and criminal law. At the moment, the exams are still being written by hand, but from December 2024 onwards, trainee lawyers in Baden-Württemberg will be able to take the exams using the WISEflow exam and assessment platform from UNIwise on laptops and technical infrastructure provided by computermiete.de.
Jens Rippberger, Managing Director of computermiete.de GmbH & Co. KG, said: „We are very pleased to be able to support Baden-Württemberg in this important step of its digitalization strategy. In providing around 600 laptops per examination campaign and operating the technical infrastructure at the examination locations, we are building on our many years of experience in providing IT equipment and technical support for major events. The future clearly belongs to digital examinations and assessments.“
Marion Gentges, Minister of Justice and Migration, commented, „We will have a future-proof, electronic exam format so that the law degree also corresponds to the digital reality of life and work for prospective fully qualified lawyers. Pages of handwritten text are no longer in keeping with the times as an examination format. The way forward for the electronic examination in the Second State Examination in Law is now clear.“
computermiete.de GmbH & Co. KG has developed into a leading supplier of IT equipment and technical support for major events since it was founded in 1983. Throughout Europe, several hundred events are equipped each year for corporate clients and public authorities with laptops, PCs, large-format displays up to 98 inches, LED video walls, printers, beamers and projection screens.
